Ellen and Gordon. at Docklands and the Botanic Gardens

A wedding with Serendipity Photography

With family from Queensland and country areas Elle and Gordon chose some centrally located Melbourne venues — Docklands for the preparations and reception and Royal Botanical Gardens for the ceremony.

The day started slowly when the lift to Elle’s apartment stopped mid floor with Julian the photographer and Elle’s only bridesmaid!!  To cut a long story short — it all turned out OK.

The Ceremony was at the Melbourne Botanical Gardens and the weather improved and then garden after a little rain the day earlier looked just perfect. The Ceremony was near the Tecoma Pavilion — (entered from Anderson St Gate C ). After the ceremony we took a fun stroll through the garden to their transport –a  classic car parked near wonderful Gate D resplendent with gorgeous scrolled wrought iron foliage (see below). We did more location photography at the Anderson St bridge — just next to the Botanical Gardens — then off to the Docklands for more photography, urban style this time, and then to the reception was a  cruise around the bay. Elle and Gordon had decided that a harbour cruise was a wonderful way to show off the best of Melbourne to their relatives from interstate.. the party atmosphere on the boat was just perfect for more photography opportunities!

Ellen and Gordon also wrote us a great review.
