St Kilda Pier has been an icon in Melbourne for over one hundred years. At Serendipity we love the elegant lines, charming rustic details and abundant open space of the pier and its surrounds, which render it a perfect backdrop for stunning wedding day photography.

The history of the pier is quite dramatic! After a disasterous fire in 2003 the pier was rebuilt using the original 1905 drawings as a guide. Today the kiosk retains a charming old-fashioned feel, with modern conveniences and additions. Further along the pier there is the embankment where it’s estimated almost one hundred little penguins live. The pier can feature in circuit through the park, the Fiztroy St cafes, and the esplanade. St Kilda beach is a lot of fun, and even though it’s often very busy it can be worth it for some fun candid photos.
